Seven Shifted Pairs

Seven Shifted Pairs is an irregular hand consisting of seven pairs from one suit with each number “shifted” one up from the next. Pairs cannot be melded: all tiles must be self-drawn except for the last tile.

Chinese Official

Does not combine with: Concealed Hand, Full Flush, No Honor Tiles, Seven Pairs

Japanese Modern

The hand must be from 2 through 8 of the same suit. Some variations require the hand to be composed of dot tiles only.
