All Simples (斷么九) is a pattern composed only of numbers 2 through 8. There are no terminals or honors.














An example of All Simples. The blue tile is waiting on the 6 Dot or 9 Dot, however, the hand can only score All Simples on the 6 Dot.

It was once popular to require All Simples to be concealed (Kuitan Nashi). Now most rulesets allow open All Simples (Kuitan Ari).
